Episode #4 of our podcast The Beards Next Door

Hi It’s me Tim.

Here is a quick blog post about my podcast, The Beards Next Door, episode #4.

In it I interview Mike Huck.

Mike is my cousin and we have been friends for literally ever.  He is one of those cousins you grew up spending the nights with, destroying shit and getting into trouble with.

Now he is a computer tech for his dad's company. He’s really damn good at his job.

It’s actually really scary to talk to him about how powerful computers are.

Like Some dude with a pc can shut down entire infrastructures or steal all your money.

That shit is terrifying and I don't think people realize how important cyber security is.

Back up that data folks.

Listening to him talk about customers that get attacked with ransomware, etc is nuts. The craziest part is that it can be (and most of the time probably is), just regular dudes.   ONE guy can destroy an entire business. That’s really scary.

Mike is also a wedding DJ and was in fact the DJ at my wedding.

The reason we enjoyed him as a DJ and what makes him good is that he is personable and really good on the mic. Like really good.  He knows how to talk to the crowd and get them involved with the songs or activities.

Nothing worse than a lame-ass wedding with a boring DJ, right?

It was also fun to have Mike on because he is an avid beard grower.  He is actually the one who got me curious about beard oil over 6 years ago.  So we had a lot to catch up about.
