Hi, It’s me Tim, Owner of Beard Mountain.
Here is a quick article about our Beards Next Door Podcast.
I think by now you know that I am a friendly person.
I go out of my way to be kind and I also don’t hesitate to reach out to new people or say hi to someone I don’t know.
This is a summary of episode #5, guest spotlight Dom V.
There is a quick life lesson here too. Be nice, meet new people, and do it without any intention other than to be a good person. It just might come back to help you in the long run.
So Dom actually moved in across the street from me a few years ago.
Clean shaven young dude with a family. Me being me, i wanted to meet this guy.
After a few waves, we finally spoke and immediately became friends.
Dom works for a smelting plant here where they process platinum and palladium. That process is NUTS to hear about.
Click on this link to read about smelting platinum and here to read about smelting palladium.
The possibility of explosions and deadly gasses is just an average day at work for dom.
Apparently the finished product they end up with called “MAT” is insanely dense. Like, a 5 gallon bucket that weighs 100lbs. Nuts!
He has to wear a respirator for work on some occasions BUT beards are permitted there if they are short and well kept. Bravo to that workplace. THAT is how you do it.
On the same note here is an article from npr about other businesses relaxing their beard policies.
Naturally I talked him into trying my oil out (he had never heard of beard oil) and as I figured, he LOVED it. So did his wife!
He loves the Ponderosa scent with that sweet vanilla and pine.
Dom is literally now a Beard Next Door. Ha!
I am super glad I took the initiative so that I could meet Dom. I did it just because it’s the right thing to do.
I gained a new customer and most of all I gained a good friend.
Keep on bearding,
Tim
